Communication in accordance with Rule 9.2 of the Rules of the Committee of Ministers Concerning Nisiotis group of cases (34704/08)
The Hellenic League for Human Rights (HLHR) has been submitting reports to the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in accordance with Rule 9.2 of the Rules of the Committee of Ministers regarding the Nisiotis group of cases (34704/08).
- In November 2024, HLHR submitted a report that includes our response to the Greek government’s submission dated 14 November, 2024. This report examines the effectiveness of the domestic remedy established under Article 6a of the Greek Penitentiary Code (GPC) in October 2022, which addresses prison conditions in Greece (Art. 13+3, ECHR). - In January 2025, HLHR submitted an updated report featuring our response to the Greek government’s communication dated 10 January, 2025. This submission focuses on the implementation of Article 3 in relation to prison conditions. You can read the full text of the submission below and HERE.
