On the World Day against Racism (International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination), on Saturday, 21st of March, the Greek Forum of Migrants, for the 12th year, is calling all groups that are currently being discriminated and affected by racism to raise their voices and to declare their determination to fight all kind of racism and humiliation of human dignity.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>We unite our voices, the co-signed Civil Society\u2019s Organizations, NGOs, human rights defenders bodies, and representatives from wider groups affected by discrimination and racism (people with disabilities, LGBTQI, Roma, migrants, refugees, HIV positive, elderly, drug addicts, people with mental illness, prisoners, religious minorities, etc.). Together -united, we will gather at Syntagma sq. in Athens where we will pass the Award of Antiracism &#8211; Tzanetos Antypas trophy [1] to an organization or a person for their contribution in anti-racism and human rights, and march for the WAD2026.<\/p>\n<p>WAD2026 in ATHENS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We gather on Saturday 21st of March, at 12:00 at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Syntagma sq.<\/li>\n<li>United we cross the road opposite the Parliament (upper level of Syntagma sq.) where the ceremony for the Award of Antiracism &#8211; Tzanetos Antypas trophy will take place. <strong>This year, the trophy passes to all lawyers for the vindication of the victims and the effective investigation of the Pylos shipwreck<\/strong>. The attribution of blame and the achieving of justice for the survivors, the victims and their families, constitute a critical stake for democracy and a fundamental issue for the functioning of the rule of law in Greece.<\/li>\n<li>After the ceremony, we march together towards KOTZIA square to unite with the other antifascist \/ antiracist rallies beginning at 14:00.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are very happy that they responded to our call and are co-organizing for a second year the WALK AGAINST DISCRIMINATION in other cities in Greece:<\/p>\n<p><strong>WAD2026 in LESVOS<\/strong>: The HIAS Greece, RSA Refugee Support in the Aegean and Lesvos Solidarity, are calling on Saturday 21st of March, at 12:00 with a meeting point at the Statue of the Asia Minor Mother, Epano Skala, Mytilene (Lesvos)<\/p>\n<p><strong>WAD2026 in LARISA<\/strong>: SolidarityNow along with local associations is calling on Friday, 20th of March at 18:30\u201319:30, at the Tachydromeon square, in Larissa city for a static event with<br \/>\nvisibility messages against racism and discrimination.
